Summer 2024 Field Trip
On July 19, 2024, our students embarked on a magical field trip to Disneyland for the Disney Imagination Campus, a day brimming with creativity, exploration, and fun. The adventure began as our group stepped through the iconic gates of Disneyland, greeted by the enchanting atmosphere of the park.
The day was filled with a variety of immersive experiences designed to spark creativity and imagination. Students participated in interactive workshops where they delved into the art of storytelling, animation, and theatrical performance, guided by Disney’s expert instructors. These hands-on sessions offered a behind-the-scenes look at how Disney magic is created, inspiring our students to explore their own creative potentials.
In addition to the educational activities, the students had the opportunity to enjoy classic Disneyland attractions and explore themed lands. They ventured through Fantasyland, thrilled by the whimsical rides and attractions, and wandered through Tomorrowland, where they discovered futuristic adventures. The excitement was palpable as they met beloved Disney characters, posed for photos, and shared unforgettable moments with friends.
The older students delved into the Technology Workshop, where they explored the cutting-edge tools and techniques behind Disney’s innovative technologies. Under the guidance of industry professionals, they engaged in interactive sessions on animation, virtual reality, and digital storytelling. The workshop offered them a glimpse into how technology brings stories to life, and they even had the chance to create their own short animations and interactive designs, showcasing their newfound skills.
Meanwhile, the younger students participated in the Theme Park Design Workshop, where their imaginations were the only limit. They learned about the creative process behind designing theme park attractions and environments. Guided by Disney experts, they engaged in hands-on activities to design their own dream rides and themed areas, experimenting with concepts of storytelling, architecture, and guest experience. Their designs came to life through colorful sketches and collaborative brainstorming, sparking excitement and creativity.
The day concluded with a special group reflection session, where students shared their favorite experiences and insights gained from the workshops. The sense of wonder and enthusiasm was evident as they discussed how the day’s adventures had sparked new ideas and aspirations.
Overall, the field trip to the Disney Imagination Campus was a resounding success, offering our students a blend of educational enrichment and joyful experiences that will be cherished for years to come.
